Type in motion, kinetic type animation, After Effects
‘Republic’
Kinetic type animation created in a combination of analogue (paper cutouts) and digital media (After Effects).
First, I researched for the right spoken word soundtrack and found this one by John Wayne from the movie ‘The Alamo’ from 1960 where he speaks about the word ‘Republic’. Then I made the digital type and printed it to do the stop motion part, which I did on a light board to create the light and vibrant look. By the end I took the photos to After Effects to edit it and add the last touch of colours and layers.
